SOMETIMES I WISH I WAS STILL ON THE GLIDER ON THE SCREENED PORCH by Lyn Lifshin

before traffic was no
more than a soft lull
beyond the elm trees,
ice clinking in frosty
glasses, my mother
still in 4 inch heels.

1 out of 6 by by Rob Plath

bukowski said
he punched out
one great poem in
every six

those are pretty
good odds

that means you gotta
keep banging them out
shitty or not to
get to that 1 in the 6

suffering and its proximity by David Mclean

they write that our awareness of the suffering
of others is deadened by distances
and i agree, you really have to see it
for it to be funny, that's why we have
TV

The Recipe by Emme Hor

1. keep on my knees
2. look him in the eye
3. rub his ego all night
4. cook up his soul

Sometimes Suicidal by Aimee DeLong

SPIDER BITES

I am Spider.

to crawl.
In 1940 I woke up
with spider bites.

Last Night at Southport by Justin Hyde

with sixteen wings
beating in

Bruce Is My Favorite Accountant

Bruce is my favorite accountant
I'm sure he does good work
But he's never done my taxes
So I cant call him a jerk
My taxes are done by a man
Who I don't even know
This man is really competent
Who puts on a very good show
And when the barrier
From the Alaskan coasty falls
Bruce will get my business
That's what my man says
So here I sit playing chess
A waiting for the coast
To grow in size and shape
I don't know why this works
But my accountant had never faked '
And he has never been wrong
So I trust him very much
And wait patiently till
Bruce gets my business

Love is a just a four letter word

Love is a just a four letter word
But nipples are so much better
That even if you do not read
You won't care about the weather

So here I sit, again all alone
Waiting for winter to cease
So I can go out cutting lawn
And I will not be long

Bogotá Blues

A scribble and a scrabble
And a dash of wine
Make my eyes grow gray
And seek the sun shine

A stand on margarine
On a palate of gray
Thinking about an artist
Like Minchin or Gray

Here I sit in my bigota
Making up rhyme
Thinking bout bologna
For its lunch time

One Thing (Which Relly) Bothers Me

One thing which really bothers me
Is too much sugar stirred in the tea
Now I don't meant to pick and quibble
But neither do I like too little.
