What we're looking for:
Literary Chaos Magazine is looking for courageous,
experimental writers in the spirit of (but not imitating) Julio Cortazar,
Donald Barthelme, and Italo Calvino. We will publish fiction, artwork,
flash movies, rants, and poetry monthly. Flash
art, short movies, photography, and art are also widely encouraged.
Please do the necessary research to know what
an experimental writer/artist is. Play with form, language, point-of-view,
style, anything—and make it brilliant. When submitting to Lit
Chaos, do not send previously published work. We
should respond within a month although anything is possible.
Please include this at the bottom of your email:
I hereby grant permission to publish and archive
my work and understand that after the issue in which my work is printed
all rights return to me, the artist.
Where to send submissions:
SUBMIT
to either editor@litchaos.com or submit.k.os@gmail.com
A note about what you need in a submission:
In the subject line of your email, please include: Submission —
category — title. For example, if you are submitting a poem
titled "The Pack of Peanuts ", write: "Submission —
Poetry — The Pack of Peanuts" In the body of the email,
paste your story or poem(s) and attach it as a Word document with
no smart quotes, please. Also, a hello or hi Ra! or
hi MJ wouldn't hurt. Our names can be found at the Masthead. Link
on the left. Include a short biography, and (if you think
it's necessary) a one sentence summary of the piece.
Audio Issue Submission Guidelines:
We are beginning to collect work for the litchaos.com (downloadable)
audio issue.

in mp3 format
send audio work. You can send mash-ups, music, short radio plays,
whatever you can dream up
then send it
to submit.k.os@gmail.com
We're not yet sure when this issue will be ready but it should be
one of its kind.
